Default pacesetter lt's and cats?

perhaps someone can let me know how this works but the long tube and y-pipe DON'T have the cat hookup for pacesetter? meaning if i were to use the LT's and y-pipe then I can NOT run w/ cats? i want the headers and the y-pipe and still be able to use the cats, will there be any point for me to buy the y-pipe? what should i do? the people hooking all this up for me will they be able to put in the cats with these headers? also if i have 90,000 miles on my '99 5.3L should i replace the cats? if so should i buy stock (i heard the stock are high flow) or go with someone else?

has anyone done any business w/ speed deamon performance? i live close to their shop and will probably take it to them to install it. i know i can do it myself but I'M LAZY and i really don't have time to mess with it! thanks for yalls help...

You could most likely get someone to weld one in, they would have to cut a section out and weld it in. I am just gonna run the y pipe and no headers at this point and maybe get a cat later on.

are all the 99-04 headers the same? i thought that they got rid of the egr hookup in 02 or 03. basically i was just wondering what the exact item number is that i need to order. i wouldn't want to get them and find out that they will only fit the 03's.

couldnt you supposedly take the shell off of some cats and stick them onto the ypipe. then if you have the rear o2s deleted you could maybe fool the inspection people into thinking youve got cats.

The headers are mail order so you can probably order them either way. When you are ordering just be sure to tell them that you have the EGR just to be on the safe side. They might all be the same though, I know my set came with the block off plates to use if you don't have the EGR. Also I think that you might be able to get by with the shell thing for the cats but it all just depends on what shop you take it to. Some shops never even look for them and some make sure that it is a working cat. It helps to know someone that does inspections just in case. I would try to make some good friends up at a shop if you decide to not run them.

Default Anyone installed yet?

I ordered my headers and y-pipe a couple of weeks ago and am expecting them anytime now and I have a couple of questions for anyone who has already installed them. How easy is installation? How does it sound? And does it sound too loud without the cats?
