Default When to replace motor mounts?

My truck and mods are in my sig of course. Just wandering if and when I should replace my motor mounts. I've had the cam in for around 55,000 miles and I've noticed here lately that when I shut the truck off I get a little shutter from the engine, reminds me of my brothers duramax when he turns his truck off.

i don't think there is really a set time but if you have the factory rubber ones still, then a good way to check is to open your hood and rev the engine while sitting in the cab. if you can see a lot of movement then the mounts are going out on you.

Ok. Yeah I assumed there wasn't a set time but I'll check that once I get home from school. I want to keep an eye out for it, just trying to take good care of the truck so it'll last. A buddy of mine put 2.5 LS6 heads and the MS3 in his Z28 and the mounts went bad in about 1800 miles but he did have 88000 miles on the car also.

I don't think the cam will have anything to do with the mounts going, but as i've said before, i know nothing about cams. although, i'd suggest some nice urethane motormounts.

It'd be nice if they made them

oh... i thought the f-body mounts would work for our trucks... (not the brackets but the actual shock material)
