hmm might explain the shift point problem, with a 29.7in tire and 4.10s 6000rpm should be about 42mph, 35mph is about 5000rpm

if you start pulling timing at 5300rpms, what rpm was your peak hp? Sounds like maybe you got a spot on driving tune, but not a good WOT tune. Your highest timing should be at your highest rpm. With that cam you shouldnt hit peak hp till around 6300rpms.

Get out on the road and tune that thing at WOT. You should have noticed a big difference going from 3.23 to 4.10.

what you mean why the blower cam? That cam isnt exactly a all out blower cam. It should make good power all throughout the power range and be a nice cam in a 5000lb plus truck. It should start to pull about 2800 and pull well past 5500. If the manifold isnt restricting.

Is the cam advanced +4 upon install? It most likely has +4 grounded in it.

I remember seeing somewhere that the cam came out of a 6.0, or 5.3 with a blower. He liked the way that it sounded.

If it was advanced 4* on install and has 4* ground in it would be killer off idle and peak very low in the rpms. And it would have a lower max power than a strait up install. Could be.

What is the timing at WOT? It should be running at least 28*, if not 30*. I'm running 33* and it has ***** at all rpm. Top end it never stops pulling.
