what is faster a 04 rcsb or 02 rcsb with the 5.3 and stock.

I never raced an 04 when mine was stock but I did race 03. At the time were bothstock to the paper filter and pretty much stayed neck to neck to about 70mph. After that, the 03 pulled on me. His rear bumber was at my front bumper to cut off speed.

 

I raced a 03 at the track tonight and i beat him. he even had edelbrock shorties and edelbrock exhaust and a Airaid intake.

 

If both were stock I think the 2004 would win.
But remember you need to throw driver skill into the mix too.

 

02 would be faster by about 3 tenths down the 1/4mi.

 

We are comparing apples to apples here... Both trucks compretely stock. Both stock, the 03 would rape the 99.

 

 

DUDE IM TELLIN YA I HAVE A 99Z71 RCSB WITH A k&n FIPK AND ASP UNDERDRIVE PULLEY, flowmaster , taylor performance wires and plugs, and 3.73's with a locker. my freinds completely stock 00 ecsb always beats me. i get him off the line by a truck, but halfway up the quarter he catches me and owns me by atleast a truck length.so there you have it....also the 03 and 04's have 10 more hp than the 02-00 5.3's and i think they rev quicker.
