Default What are you paying for exhaust?

I just got a quote from a local shop to do my exhaust. Heres what I am getting:
Pacesetter Lt's installed (I'm providing the actual LT's)
Magnaflow cats (I'm providing)
2 Magnaflow mufflers
X pipe
O2 bungs welded in
Collectors attached to the LTs
2 tips for the exit

$450 for the header install and around $600 for everything else.
So $1000-1100 out the door. Sounds high to me. I could install the headers myself and trailer it to the exhaust shop I guess. What do you guys think?

450 for a header install sounds way high to me, however I always do my own installs so I dont really know what the going rate is. Out of all the headers I have installed I never did any that justified a 450 price tag, now if it was in a front wheel drive v8 then quite possibly.

There is a lifetime guarantee on the mufflers and the hangers etc…. so I guess that’s something. But for $450, I think I could install the headers myself in an afternoon.

Way to high!! Shop around. If you know someone who has a welder, than try that route.

Paid 100 for my header install I was just lazy and it was raining outside that day otherwise I would have done it myself. Do the header install yourself. Pacesetters have the fornt O2 bungs already installed so you could drive it to the exhaust shop it will be loud but just take it easy and you will be fine.
