Default what would it take?

I was just wondering what would it take to Beat a stock Lighting...
Im wondering because we have a few showing up around town, and also the fastest gas truck in towns saposto be a lighting...

My truck- 2004 gmc sierra 5.3 ext cab z71. im running 33in tires on 16 in rims, there actually pretty darn light.

Mods- Cai, ported TB, Lt's with Y-pipe, Tb ss injectors, Tr 220 cam on 114 lsa, 140k- trans cooler, Vett servos, Only weight reduction is i removed the spare tire rack and tire.

Running stock 373 gears.

Im going to be getting a Cir-D 3000-3200 stall soon....

well honestly i havent tryed.... my low end sucks untill it hits the powerband

The stock L's do mid/high-13's from what I've always went by. Ever run your truck? Go from there, or just try one. Stall will definitely help, and a bit higher gear probably wouldn't hurt either.

na i sure havent wanto/need to but i live like 3 hours from the track. maybe after i get a stall so ill atleast enjoy myself haha after the stall im gunna start looking into more but prob see what the next bang for the buck is " no N2o" tho cuz its a DD 4x4

I daily drove a nitrous truck for two and a half years, and drove it two hours to two different tracks and then back, twice a month or so. I promise that it's not a problem.

Where are you located? IMO, order a simple, wet kit. Put it on, replace the plugs, get it tuned. Done. It's cheap, and if you don't use it often or need the power every day, you're not going to have to fill bottles constantly.

i live in south east AZ and ya i know but i get on it quite a bit i would think... im thinking more of heads and a SC in time... but for now just wondering because that all i get to compare to is the trucks around here... we have alot of diesel's around here. my roomies soon to be the quickest. but i just wanna hold my own for what i got.
