Besides the torque converter?

You can do what i mentioned earlier, port and mill your heads, nitrous, forced induction, lightweight wheel/tires, underdrive pulley, buy a car and make it fast, the options are endless.

you never know until you try it...everyone has said what they thought, most would just do fi or nitrous because its easy but you do whatever you want man.
i would love to see your buddies diesel...i wanna see how he is going to do anything with that 6 speed, what all parts is he using? engine, tuning, turbos, injection pump, etc.?

lol If you have the money get a built trans and throw in a 3600 converter from CircleD, Vig, Yank, FTI, coan, etc.. Then get a NNBS intake and get a re tune. Should run like a raped ape after that. Later on you can always do head work or new heads, gears, etc, whatever you want..

The 3.73 gears should do okay especially with a 3600 converter, but 4.10 would be better.

Back to the original question of running with a lightning...

What you have now with a stall would hang with one dependign on how much the big 33's and 3.73's limit you off the line. The L will pull harder in the long run, but you would take one off the line pretty good.

The problem is that getting a lightning into the 12's is really easy. Intake, exhaust, pulley, and a tune put those deep into the 12's on a decent night.

ya my off the line, is really weak at the moment i think alot of it has to do with my set up and maybe my tune i got a DM-100 comming soon so i can get my tune dialed in. i really wanto do a tranny but right now my funds cant swing it so im stuck with the stall idea.
