lookin for stock times on the 1999 siverado
reg cab sportside with the 5.3l how much slower are they than the 2002?
is there any difference between the new and the old models ?

 

Yes there is a differance. The 99 has a different cam than the 2000+ that GM specs claim 15 mor HP at the crank for 2000+ model 5.3's and 4.8's. I don't know any real 1/4 #'s but would guess in the 15.5 range give or take some. Anyone that has one want to give some real #'s?

 

Here was my best stock time. Im a 1999 5.3L 1500LS extended cab, short bed, with 373 posi rear end This was with something like 6000 miles on the truck:
