I got a 4.8 for my truck, got everything but the electronic pedal, and motor to frame mounts for 700 bucks. I know its the smallest v8 but im happy. Hell at this point i really can only say its only money and time thats why im building another motor.

I agree with everyone else here, if I were going through the trouble of swapping out a V6 for a V8, I'd definitely go the 6.0 route. Wish that I was further along with my plans so I could sell you my current 5.3

But if you're hellbent on a 4.8, more power too ya, it'll definitely be better than the 6 that's in there.
