What is this plug on the back of the intake manifold?

That red piece in my picture had a plug that came out, and a hose nipple went in it's place....brake booster hose went on there.

damn, so it looks like I'm trying to cram the wrong plug in the right hole!!

Do you have a picture or part number of the hose nipple that plugged into the intake?

I don't....I have a buddy who works at a dealer that does a lot of s/c installs, and he swiped one off an extra intake manifold for me. Might try CHEVRACER83's part number thread.

I pulled that plug out tonight, drilled it out with a 9/32" drill bit, and then tapped it 1/8" NPT. I'm going to get a 1/8" NPT to 3/8" barb fitting at the hardware store to attach it...

Manifold fitting

Go to Chevy dealer. Order or buy the intake manifold to brake booster hose and fitting, it's like $3. Has a nice tight 90 in the hose to clear firewall. The fiting itself was like 80 cents.
