The rears are there to make sure the cats are flowing properly....other than that not alot goin on with them....if you don't have cats anymore then they will throw a code so get them takin out via tune or get some simulators for em...

Texas Speed says you don't need the O2 extensions.

there is extra pieces of wire and conectors in the box with the Pacesetters to extend your o2's, but it wasn't necessary when we installed white1's.

the rear o2s have nothing to do with the fuel consumption issue, touchofevil04 is correct- they only guage catalytic converter performance, the front o2's control the a/f on their own

well since the cats are not there, the air is flowing much faster past the front ones since theres nothing there to slow it down and cram it up in front of the cat, so its just saying hmmmm more flow!! ok more fuel!! then you can just watch that fuel gauge fall faster

Ummm no. Take this from an annalyzer tech. The sensors monitor the unburnt O2 in the exhaust gases and change the A/F ratio accordingly. The faster flow has nothing to do with the amount of unburnt gasses in the exhaust. The only way your burning more fuel is if your cats were plugged, and your engine is now working more efficiently, or your on the gas a lot more. In your scenerio it seems like the latter. Try filling up and checking your milage and not realying on the guage (yes I am an analyzer tech and cannot spell it )

see i was just tryin to get an answer like this one, i knew that they monitored the unburnt gases and changed A/F accordingly, i jus kinda threw in the faster or slower (made me look like a dumbass though)!!!!
but ok, my cousin has a 00' silvy and when he cut his out, his gas mileage sucked bad, and he didnt have his foot in it so whats that all about? i mean i guess different motors act different? i dunno exactly how everything works!!
