Sooooo your going with a straight though design for "performance" but you don't want to put a cross over pipe because you want "true duals".......there by loosing any additional HP you could easily get with the scavenging effect from the cross over.....kinda contradicting yourself here......

but anyhoos...IMHO if you have a performance vehicle, then put your exhaust on accordingly......bullet types or small diameter low restriction straight throughs such as any of those you mentioned will all sound about the same. Although I have a hard time thinking of a 5500 lb SUV being a performance vehicle.

If you have a stock engine, and you just want the sound of a nice throaty V8 (because with a DD and this being a family car) don't kid yourself with the performance gimmicky stuff. Half the folks that buy a V8 SUV ever really use the power it has stock from the factory let alone need more..............get a muffler shop to make you a cat back so you can get the sound your looking for with any of straight through choices, put some nice SS tips so you can look fast.......and your done. Save the performance goodies for your LS1 swap

i said i do plan to use a cross over but not one of the mufflers that has two in two out with a internal crossover. this is my daily driver yes but i plan to pull a car trailer regularly and want to get the most power out of this 5.3 as i can for the time being. it is also getting 4.11's front and rear 2/3 drop tune and efans. no it will never be extremly fast with a bolton 5.3 but it will hold its own.

don't think an internal x defeats the purpose at all, unless your purpose is to spend more money and be able to say "I have two mufflers." IMO, an external x combines the duals to a single pipe as well and changes the sound of the exhaust note. not arguing here, everyone has their own opinion, I'm a corsa fan myself.
