The slowest truck at SBSO ty but thats with a system trailer hitch jack and spare and ext cab and everything. Im not lookin to battle with you on times I was just giving you my opinion. Your truck seems like it has always shined at the track but not on the dyno. I think a dyno tune will make it pick up quite a bit. Good Luck on your trek for better numbers though.

I could easily set throw a set of Longtubes or any decent header and prob put down at least 260hp

Ive never been a big fan of dynos. Ive seen cars and trucks put down very little power and go out and destroy cars and trucks with 50 more hp and tq then them. Its also in the torque curve and hp curve and where the cams peak. You should bring it out to HMP for the LS1tech.com series that is bi-weekly. I hope to be out there with a truck that we will be happy to run u with if ur interested. its a 5.3 with cam and u/d pullies and intake and exhaust but stock headers.

I was the only chevy there. and was the second highest in the HP. there was a Ram there that used to have a V^ in it and he droped in a 5.7L and turned out 282 Ponies. I do believe he is running on the gas tho

Hello Thunder,
have not been on here in a while but taking a look and saw this thread, Thought that I would clue you on Tman's Ram... it has always been a Hemi Ram, he just put the V^ emblem on it to lure in the suckers... Unlike you guys with the LS1edit we Mopar guys cannot swap engines in ODII Trucks very easily. We have to take in the PCM to the dealer and get our VIN codes flashed to it or things like our A/C will not work among other things. Also when we get our emissions test the vin in the PCM and the Truck must match. Yes I am still dreaming of HEMIedit! BTW, Tman's truck has NO NO2 on it whatsoever, all he has are CAI and Exhaust mods. So far he has the lightest weight Hemi on any of the boards that we know of. We were going to the track today but it rained again! ( Sunday ) If Tman puts the bottle on it he will go 12's easily.
I am just sorry I did not get to go to the GTG myself, perhaps later...

see ya!

oh ok I was just going off of what the other guy where telling me out there. I was not there, and figured, it was something other than what they where saying

that is great that he is getting that thing to move.

I will retract what I said then. I apologise, that I was miss informed.
hope there are no hard feelings, thanks for clearing it up.

And u achieved those torque numbers by spikin the dyno aka the convertor flashin between shifts which are not a true representation of the power at the wheels. Hopefully track numbers will look better then dyno numbers.

take a good look at that chart, you have to ignor that first line coming down and look at the smooth sloping part of the chart.

I thought that had to have been a converter or shift spike to gain 70tq from a cam swap

Did you get it dyno tuned also or just dyno it after the swap? When I first did my bigger 226 cam I only dyno'd 306rwhp 290ish rwtq. After tuning I gained 2mph avg. in the 1/4 so tuning obviously made a big difference. I hate dynos

Get it tuned (if you have not) and get to the track and get us some #s.

everytime I look at the chart the numbers just dont jive with the graph, whats up with that?
I mean the max torque with the all gear pull spikes 325 at the end, it is a pink line but the run is highlighted in blue. the blue lin only hits around the 300 mark?

I can see the HP numbers jiving but the torque numbers seem to be off from the graph, whats up with that?
am I reading it wrong?
