Default Well, I made it to the track.

I got to make a couple of passes tonight but the weather was crapy and then it started to rain. Both of the runs were with no cooldown and the truck is still bone stock right down to the filter. Its an 04 RCLB with a 5.3/3.73.
The first run was right of the street and all I did was drive around the water and pull to the line. I left at about 1100 rpms and just rolled it out and left it in drive.
15.26 @88.7 mph.
Then I went right back up and this time I stalled it up a little more and got on the gas a little quicker and it went.
15.01 @88.9 mph.
Then I decided to let it cool down because I knew it would run a 14.8 but it started to rain so I just packed up and headed home.
One thing I did was I removed the filter and left the air box open and this did absolutley nothing. The only reason I went from the 15.2 to the 15.0 was in the 60 ft.
Im going to go back up next week because I really think this thing will run in the 14.70s.BONE STOCK!

Thanks guys. I ran it at New england drag way in new hampshire. I live in VA but my company is in massachusets so I spend alot of time in new england.

bluecajun5.3 VMP is my favorite track. I get my best times at that track. My wifes GN ran its best time there along with the WS6 and the Cobra.

you'll probably find some gain if you shift it yourself. the stock 5.3 programming has the shift points too low. the best results come from shifting it as high as possible without hitting the rev limiter.

Great times...It would be awesome if you could hit 14s. If you can, try to catch it on video, I would love to see it in action...

Hey Bud check out my other thread. I ended up going a 14.91 @91.5 with a 2.32 60ft.
Last week when I ran the 15.0 it went a 2.23 60ft so I know it will go a 14.7 on the right pass. I have made a promise to myself that I wont touch it untill i run 14.7.
Then I will do an exhaust ,CAI and a tune.

John
