want a nice sounding cam

TBSS intake swap soon. 4300#s
I currently have the XR269HR-14 cam b/c @ the time I was going to tow something and keep the stock TC but since 'race car' is gone I am not as concerned with towing. The TC I am getting is going to be in the 3k range stall.
Since I want it to lope this one probably would not be noticed but I am wondering if any cam would be heard in the truck, big 22" magnaflows currently do no make any noise unless you are on the gas.

It has went a 7.8 @ 88 on a 125 shot, I will be doing a plate kit so it should run even better with the plate on the same shot...but not really worrying with that but I do want it to run good.
It did pull 300/300 w/all above mods N/A w/o the TBSS intake.

I'm happy with my cam in the 6.0 and it will work great with a 3000 converter. It has a nice clean chop to it too. Its an EPS 222/226 on a 114. I have videos on YouTube. Search for eps 222/226 and it should pop right up. Some videos show the lope better than others.

Here is an idle video of a 5.3 with a RKV3X cam

That cam should be pretty mild in a 6.0. Mine is 218/224@.050 on a 110LSA in a 5.3. The smaller cam on a wider LSA in a bigger engine would probably idle pretty smooth. I'd look at something in the 220@.050 range on a 110 or 112 LSA if you want the sound.

Could always have Mike @ New Era Performance (site sponsor) spec a custom cam tailored to your exact wants and needs...cost is the same as most off the shelf cams and it'll sure beat the hell out of ordering something and going through the install only to find its not what you want.

Swap to a 224/228 LSA111 and get the idle lowered a little bit and if your tuner knows what they are doing a little idle timing adjustments can make for some mean sound. When you pull that cam I would love to take it off your hands for my 4.8
