Default Vibration

I have a vibration that comes and goes that is very noticable when riding on the interstate. Doesn't do it all the time but when it does you feel it. It's something in the drivetrain because I feel it in the seat of my pants. Have heard alot of people are having this problem and GM service want do anything to fix it. They told me it was my tires. I know it isn't because it doesn't do it all the time. I think its in the rearend. Anybody have any idea.

I've had sort of the same problem, but not nearly as severe. I will notice it only around 45-60mph, feels like the the transmission or the rear end... If it gets worse I will take it in, but I dont notice it too often.
Good luck!

You might crawl under there and make sure all the weights are still on the driveshaft. also grab it near the ends and try to move it around to make sure all the bearings are still tight. just a thought.

If your up to it, You could rotate the treads and see if the vibration moves out front. That would confirm or rule out a wheel balance issue.

So you feel a vibration in the seat of your pants coming from the rear end? Did you try lubing it? (BlackBeauty I know you were going to say something like this but I beat you to it)

The dealer did everykind of balancing they could do and then sent it to a tire shop and it still did it. So I know its not the tires or rims.
