Default cold air

has anyone made their own cold air mod? i'm thinking of bringing a tube from where the fog lights should be to the bottom of the air box...would that get good air or bad air? just wondering.

I built my own out of a KN air filter and the intake tubing is the same tubing used in Nascar.
Picked it up at Austin Performance for around $20 a foot. Its all 4in. intake.
I could tell a difference with just changing the air filter and after I installed the tubing it was like night and day!

20 bucks a foot....hardly worth it for the slight if any power gain it would bring

I have a home made intake pipe too. Mine is PVC pipe and cost me about 20 dollars total to make (and a few hours of experimenting) and it was well worth it. If you used the Nascar tubing you would need about 3 feet which is 60 dollars. And a filter for about 60 dollars. That is 120 dollars and the cheapest pre made intakes are 200 bucks so I would say it is worth it.
