My illustration is the extreme example of TQM at it worst. At that time I was running motor numbers od 291HP/347TQ and with the converter/Shift kit combo this made for harsh TQM intervention.

As far the exhaust goes...usually when you reduce backpressure on a stock motor your torque will drop (not drastic) but will pick up some HP for sure. The added HP and drop in torque will lessen the effect of TQM as meadured torque will be lower and the added HP will push through the shift harder.

What your explaining about the shift sounds like what my truck does and its stock. It will shift and pause and feel like it shifts again. Like the engine cut off and came back on. I reported it the GM service department and they said nothing was wrong. Its really annoying.
I would like to do the servo to my truck. Can you give me the part# or do I just ask for a Corvette servo? Will there be any programming to be done when I change it? I'm not sure what all you abreviations stand for so please educate me.

Dude my truck probably 1 out of 3 times do the 2-3 shift twice (never at WOT though.) It is really annoying too. My former truck 98 V6 Dakota did the same thing on the 1-2 and I got a free rebuild under warranty, and it still did it. It turns out the manuals at the transmission shop and dealer had the wrong specs for the band adjustment for some reason. So I guess my truck might need a band adjustment? What do you guys think? Also please send the servo swap instructions with pics to cashdudehomie@webtv.net Thanks
