Default Valvetrain questions

I had my 243's milled 0.030" before putting them on my 5.3, should I get shorter pushrods or will the 7.4's work fine? And I need a good place to buy some new head bolts. I refuse to go to the dealership because here in Canada it's highway robbery for parts there. I buy a lot my stuff online if shipping is reasonable. Is there a good site to find some? If all else fails I found some on ebay, the brand is VIC or something.

I also need to know how to clean my rockers up nice. The engine had 200'000km on it when it cracked the head, and they're pretty sludged up. I have a parts washer with varsol in it, but anywhere I can't get my brush is still pretty filthy. Any tips let me know. Thanks.

My 243's are milled .030 as well. I'm also using a .040 thickness head gasket, I used 7.375 pushrods with LS7 lifters and my valvetrain doesn't really have any noise to it. Any that I hear I attribute to the LT's I did at the same time.

With just stock lifters and what I assume are stock headgaskets that came with a victor reinz engine rebuild kit. Will I be safe with 7.400 rods? I want to get this stuff on order pretty quick so it's here when I get back at the end of the month.

I already have brand new stock lifters in the bottom end, unless LS7 lifters are leaps and bounds better, it's not worth it to toss out brand new ones.

So with the heads milled 0.030" should I run 7.375's on my stock lifters?

Do it right the first time. You need to check your length with a pushrods length checker........not ask people, who do not have your motor what length pushrods you need. No one can tell you exactly what pushrods you need unless they check it for you.
