Valvespring question.

Hey,
I am getting the texas speed 228R cam for my 6.0L. The specs are 228/228
.588/.588 on a 112 lsa.
I was wondering if you guys thought it would be worth going with the dual PRC spring kit. Its about $110 more than the single spring kit.
I was also wondering if I need special valve stem seals. The thunder racing kits I was looking at came with them, and this kit doesn't.
Thanks for your help.

I personally wouldn't. but thats just me(on the dual springs).
They sell the valve stem seals with the kit because it just makes more sense to replace them while you have the springs off. I don't think they are special valve stems but you may need to ask TR about that.
I have a set of the "new" comp cam 918 single springs. for sale I just took off my truck saturday. they have about 2k miles on them. PM me if your interested.

the stock valve stem seals have seats made on to them. the dual springs come with a larger seat therefore require new seals. i did go with the duals on my swap just in case i ever decided to go to a larger cam. changing springs sucks and i only wanted to do it once. if you compare the to a single spring with a titanium retainer then it is cheaper to get the patriot duals.

I believe the titanium locks and retainers are included in both packages, aren't they? It doesn't say anything about them, but in that little picture in the top right corner, looks like they are in there.
I'll be sure to let you know how I like it, probably going to be a spring project. Waiting for the nicer weather.
