Default Valve spring/injector question

Ok, I'm picking up a xer273hr for my 5.3l

specs: 224/230 581/588 114+2

I was going to go with the new style 918s, but have still read some bad things about these. What other options are out there for .600 lift cams that work with stock retainers and locks?

Will I need to upgrade my injectors or fuel pump with this cam and my mods: Longtubes, ORY, 3" muffler dumped, elec. cutout, TBTC, built 4l60e, 3.73s, cai, p&p tb, elec. fans, underdrive pulley, 180 thermostat, blackbear tune, etc. I'm also adding a HSW dry shot to it after I put in a tru trac!

you're going to need a huge stall for that cam man. thats way too big unless you're going to use that for track only with a 4000+ converter.

hell, it might hook better with that small converter he has, then once it starts pulling good at 3500 rpm, he will already be hooked up.

From the reading I've done about 3k-3400 is what I'm probably going to do. I'm either sending the tbtc to Circle D to get built or just sell this one and buy one new.

on a 224/230 cam on a 5.3 with 3.73 gears? Idk about that. My cam is just a 216/220 114 and I need at least a 3000 converter to really take advantage of my cam.

Yah to take advantage, but he can get away with a smaller one, just will be a bit slugish from the gate.... I would run atleast a 3k verter thowe, I want a bigger one now, I am rocking a SST3200.....

So what about valve springs? Which ones are ya'll running? I'm thinking about the new 918s as I dont want to have to buy new retainers and locks.
