Problem solved... The main lead to the trans solenoids did not get power from the engine harness connector. On to the next task... resolving overheating issues.

Hmmm... it's strange. I've got the smaller LS radiator. I was under the impression that these came with the 4.8/5.3 motors. If this is true, what's up with this? I've got to hard-wire my efans to get them work. One of the two motors draws much more current than the other, thus blowing 20amp fuses almost instantly. I'll look at this tomorrow. Without knowing the specs on the motor, I'll be playing trial and error. Fingers are crossed.

No need... Fixed cooling issue. Pulled vent tube off radiator, and let about a pint of coolant run out. Clamped that back on, and started the truck. Ran it for a couple minutes, and noticed the reservoir bottle was getting low. Filled up with 50/50 liquid, and ran for about 5 mins with cap off. Coolant level in bottle settled. Drove truck around, and temp never reached the 210 mark (with 1 of 2 fans working).

Got exhaust done on yesterday. What ya'll think?

Here's the clips I promised:

Idling under carport

In-cab cruisin' decibels

Not bad at all. It's nice is cruisin' speeds, and makes itself known at WOT. Caught this guy's attention walking down Millervile. As I pass him, he stops, and looks back at the truck like "what da hell".

Overheating... but, only detected on driver-side head (stock sensor/sender location). I've got an Autometer temp sensor on the passenger side, and it reads normal (190* - 200*). The stock sender sends a signal back to the PCM stating that it's reaching 270*, causing the truck to go in Overtemp Protection Mode. The t-stat & sender were replaced. I'm running e-fans (dual, but only pass-side is working).

Before I put the truck on the street, I was running it without a filter (in my driveway). I'm wondering if something got in the intake, but doesn't seem like it b/c the truck runs great @ WOT & cruisin. Thing is, I can get about 4 - 5 miles, and the temperature surpasses 250*, and shortly thereafter, it'll it the limit. I haven't been driving it far b/c of that. Wouldn't think the radiator's clogged b/c coolant flows out the radiator (top, on DS) when @ op temp.

I'll try to remove the rubber tube from the DS head to see if coolant flows thru that tube (hopefully it's not clogged). Other than that, I've exhausted what I can think of, right off.

Any ideas?
