Default Upside down

Well this might sound like kind of a stupid question but I just want to make sure. While my motor is on the engine stand and im doing the cam swap, as long as I flip it upside down I shouldn't have to worry about dropping a lifter right? Will I hurt anything?

as long as you keep the rocker amrs and push rods in place you wont drop a lifter and everything will be fine. and as tyler said, drain all of the fluids

That's how I did my last cam swap (below) and always have when the engines are out.

I do the same thing when the motors out. The lifters won't fall out if the rockers and poushrods are out as stated above, they're held in place by the lifter trays.

i made me some rods out of brake line to stick through the lifter bores right above the cam to the left and the right. Have used them and seem to work fine and super cheap.
