Default Update on my plans

Just wanted to throw this out there, been kinda boring at work today.

--Finish drivetrain (4L80-e swap, 3.73s, new driveshaft)
--Eagle 383 rotating assy (Eagle forged crank & H-beams, JE pistons)
--Pacesetter headers (if they'll fit w/ the drop), homemade ORY
--head studs

Then, later this year:

--AFR 225's
--TSP 233/239
--FAST or LS6 intake

I'd like to see solid 12s on the first setup, and hopefully w/ the h+c I might could touch 11's N/A???

That is such a band wagon camshaft. It came out, so everyone jumped on it. The results I've seen haven't been that substantial. Also note, with a head as efficient as that, you wont need as much camshaft to make the same rpm.

From what I've seen it gives a nice, broad torqueband. It's also very close in specs to a custom grind that Cam Motion recommended to me.

What are some other ideas that you have for a nice cam for the 383 setup?

Can you post any dyno graphs? Nevermind. I found a few. I did forget that you are stepping up to a 4 inch crank. That'll affect things.. I need to edit my initial post.

Car is a 2000 SS, 6 speed - mods are as follows:

Whisper Lid, Hooker LTs, 3"cutout, TSP 233/239 .603/600 112 LSA, PRC gold spring kit, untuned.

379 RWHP / 352 RWTQ

The A/F was around 13.3-13.4.

My rev limiter was set at 6400 and the power curve was still going up when it hit the limiter. It would have probably rolled 382-383 with the rev limiter set at 6600 or so. The dyno graphs I've seen w/this cam all peaked around 6200-6300 so I thought 6400 would have been ok for the pulls.

Keep in mind this is still with LS1 intake, stock pullies and untuned. Next mods are an ASP pully, LS6 intake and a dyno tune. Should be right around 400-405 rwhp w/those mods I would think.

What did the custom grind from C-motion look like?
The 383 is a LS1 bore & 4'' crank, right?

I don't know how much torque bowtie is going to gain with an ls6 & pulley. The torque looks fairly low. The tune could bring him up though. We'll see.

As for the TSP stick done by TSP. Lets face it, when companies dyno their own camshafts the results are always A+ . Not calling b.s., but I'd rather take a look at more independent results.

I had been following this one too. https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...=tsp+233%2F239
