Default UPD intake! Use with or without Ram-Air mod?

I've had my ram-air mod on my truck for some time now and got a UPD intake about a month ago. I did a search and found several posts on the ram-air subject. I found one that actually said the ram-air mod creates turbulance in the airbox and hurt performance. My own experience is that the ram-air defintly helps but I don't have any track or dyno numbers to back up that claim. Any new findings on this subject?

That would be great! Looking forward to your findings. I kind of answered my own question though, I put my other unmodified air box bottom back on then ran around doing some errands. The intake noise was quieter and the truck felt OK, did a few 0-60's when I got home and the times were good. Then I put the ram-air back on and did another 0-60 with out letting the truck cool off, time was .15 quicker and the truck definitly pulled harder. On another note! I've left off the air duct and scoop experimenting before and just having the hole in the air box bottom seems to do nothing. I think it's the duct and scoop which really help. I know it's not a "Ram-Air" but it bringing in alot of "cool air", my air filter gets a big round dirty spot on it where the 4" duct is suppling air to it. So, my quick test proved to me that the ram-air/cool-air mod works, at least for me.

yah alot of people have been argueing about this so why not just make some runs to see if it does or doesnt. if it helps it helps, if it doesnt than i wasted $20.
I will post a new thred when io get the results.
