If you take out your lower airbox you will see the bigger hole is a separate peice that you can take a flat tip to and push out easy. The main thing I think helped was that the holes only allow so much CFM to get in and it's not enough...pushing out this peice out leaves no restriction to getting the needed air. There's no way for you to have a water problem by pushing it out.
