this is why im looking to buy these. I'm trying to drop as much time as possible.

Thanks for the comments... i understand the possible downfalls to having the pullies and i understand your argument GMCtrk, dont worry, this is how most forums are, everyone wants to bust your *****

After i try them, i'll report back. I have a stock alt (small amp one, 95a or 105a i think?) and i have a decent battery (red top optima), and upgraded the wiring on the alternator, but i do have a large cam for the motor that pulls a lot of vacuum so it'll be a good test. If it doesnt work out for me, i'll sell them and lose a little, no big deal

the tb spacers and diff. air filter/boxes i can understand... been there done that, lost the money. Have to fall sometimes before you can go forward. The pulleys, however, are the only bolt on that makes sense to me.

I have been working on small engines for a LONG time. Similar to lawn mower engines, but mostly 16, 18, 23, and 32 hp motors for carpet cleaning machines. In 1985 my uncle developed a different pulley combination that increased the torque output of the motor and slightly higher hp. Not a big deal, but when it comes to making these small motors more powerful, it was worth it. Taking that idea into consideration its worth a try for me Like i said, if this doesnt work, **** it, i'll move on. I know what to do to make REAL power, but after you get to a certain point there are small things out there people will try to gain an edge.

No one is denying it will increase power and make you go slightly faster. I am simply saying in this thread that it does not appear that the positives outweigh the negatives.

When you're overheating because the water pump is spinning too slow at idle and the water sits stagnant in your engine..........

oh i was agreeing with your comments gmctrk, im just saying, myself, that i need to try it out before crossing it off my list.

i would need to jump the idle up to almost 1k to keep it spinning like it should in order to run w/o issues. Its a known fact with udp that this will happen. If i cant stand driving eveyday like this, i'll pull em off and sell em.

I agree with HirdleJ and GMCtrk. I think they cause more of a hassle than they are worth. Causing to many problems with the other accesories.

i think the people with the electrical problems only did the crank pulley, if you do the crank pulley AND the alternator pulley you shouldnt have any problems with your voltage, and if you turn your idle up a little you shouldnt have any problems with power steering or water pump either. maybe im not looking at it right but thats the way it seems to me
