underdrive pulleys

oh i was agreeing with your comments gmctrk, im just saying, myself, that i need to try it out before crossing it off my list.
i would need to jump the idle up to almost 1k to keep it spinning like it should in order to run w/o issues. Its a known fact with udp that this will happen. If i cant stand driving eveyday like this, i'll pull em off and sell em.

I'm not worried about power anyway since I have a 200 amp alternator with an overdrive pulley on it.

Don't be an *******. If you can't comprehend my argument, you shouldn't be in this thread.
More testimonial on the UDP:
"I installed an underdrive pulley on my T/A and did notice better track times. Even some of the people racing each week noticed my T/A was faster with the UD pulley, came off the line quicker, was able to spin my tires easier also.
That being said, I also had problems with it. While sitting in line to race my battery went dead, my car was also harder to steer especially when parking. My turn signals struggled as well, windows rolled up slowly.
For an A4 car I don't know if it's a wise mod or not. I ended up taking mine off because of the steering issues, maybe a lowered f-body steers harder."

I had a 00 SS m6 and I had zero problems with my u/d that I didn't cause myself but I was still learning while modding so oh well.

two sides to every story.
"Yeah, ASP is the brand I used. I'm with VV8, I've had them for 2 years as a daily driver and love them. They free up the motor pretty well. I noticed an increase from the torque department. And that is always welcome... "
"yep, I've run mine for the last 7 years. and its a daily driver."
"I gained the same as bigpat502, 7 RWHP AND 10 RWTQ, Allen did a before and after dyno, when we put mine on. I think that they are worth it in my opinion"
"Yes! a good mod IMO for bolt on power! I love my ASP Pulleys"
"my 06' SS has a 145 amp alt from factory (stock e fans) and i only did the crank pulley and i dont have any issues with my truck"
