that makes sense, but there is a connector and plug there already...its really bugging me im gonna have to crawl back under there and look i guess

Looks to be from the powersteering..bottom/back...wtf does it do?

Never heard of it nor does my manual show it... but might have the wrong optioned vehicle loaded up.

I assume it varies power steering feel for different speeds.

It's the Electronic Variable Orifice (EVO) Solenoid just like Mrgoodwrench3 said. It controls your variable effort steering actuator

BTW, the wires are actually Brown and White

anything bad going to happen that its broke? I havent noticed anything different with the truck in the steering...i dont feel like replacing a steering pump just for the plug lol

Basically all the system does is reduce fluid hydraulic pressure at highway speeds to increase "road feel" So you probably will not notice a huge difference. All it does it make it steer easy in parking lot manuevers and harder at road speed.

What's broke? The red connector? The female connector? Or the system itself?
