The connector that was on it was black plastic and it looked like a 90*..it was snapped off of somewhere

on my engine i have a black connector...90*, rite behind the starter. i cant find out wich plug goes into it but its on the block itself u shud look for that??

im not sure how it would reach to that side..its part of the harness that goes under the motor to the starter, but its on the drivers side..could it be an air bag plug? I thought those were always red? I have a air bag light that comes on from time to time..

It wouldn't have something to do with a block heater would it??

Maybe one engine had it the other doesnt???

Just tossing out another guess here.

I have the block heater cord still in there and thats a seperate cord..That was one of my guesses as well..

is there a place for a wiring diagram?

Nothing for the air bag in that area...plus, I thought that most air bag connectors were yellow actually

thats what it was..i couldnt remember if they were red or yellow..

it just really has me stumped..everything works perfectly on the truck..im just curious as to where it is supposed to go lol

The oil level and crank sensor are on the passenger side.

There isn't anything on that side of the block with a connection like that. How much slack is in the wire? Could it be stretched to any other location? Might be a connection for a hydroboost brake setup even if it isn't equipped with it.
