Default Twin Turbo LQ4

Would twin HX35s or HX40s work on an LQ4? I see that 3.0L import guys love them so I just though that 2 of these turbos would be good on a 6.0L LQ4.

Yep, they came off the Dodge Diesels. I didn't really believe they were putting them on imports until I saw the pics!

yea a turbo from a diesel is good for a gas engine of about half the displacement because of the difference in rpms

So then 2 5.9L diesel turbos should work on a 6.0?

SHOULD

but i would get compressor maps and check to be sure, and no i dont know how to read them but thats what the turbo gurus on here say

besides, aftermarket turbos are going to be much higher quality, and i wouldnt run them unless you are gettin a REALLY good deal on them

Looking for the 35 and 40 maps but word is that Holset maps are hard to find. I agree with you, aftermarket turbos would be better but I am looking for something that I can fab up my twin turbo kit with, run for a while then swap out for better turbos.

i dont know any one in the import crowd running that set up on a 3.0L

If i was to turbo a 6.0 i would want a mid 60's series turbo, also you cant compair the import to domestic when it comes to turbos. my supra is 3.0 and has a 90mm turbo one it, I dont spool it (full boost 40 psi) until 5200 rpms and that using a 150 shot to get it on, However i turn the car 10,000 rpms and have built TH400 so once its on boost it ***** out..

On your truck im sure you want instant boost, say by 1800-2000 rpms... so with CI you have a mid 60's would be fun.. Then agin a small turbo and lots of boost would work too..

I found a HY35 Map, I'm still looking for the HX35 and HX40 maps. I got a book and am trying to learn to read these but it's a little hard right now. How does this look?
