Turbo is forced induction, but I agree with him. I love the turbo on my 4.8.

i disagree with both of them. all motor truck. for a young kid just starting out driving i think i truck this size with a turbo or supercharger may be a bit much. not knocking your ability to drive but statistics are what they are. i would take the approach of heads cam intake and a set of long tubes and call it a day. truck will sound mean as hell, wet any cheer leaders panties you need, and still will scare the crap out of any of your friends civics.

Start small buddy. Tune longtubes and a stall or gears to start. I made the mistake of going too big all at once in high school. Save your money you got a good bit to learn first.

tune it for now and save and save some more for a turbo kit, transmission, fuel, tune ect... that's what i did since high school i wanted a turbo now 4 years later finished college and barely made it its still a working progress as we speak... if you are in a budget save and buy one thing at a time until you have everything you need then save @ $500 or more for extra things you might need (talking from experience)... IMO dont buy cam, heads, stall, headers, ect because when u are all set and done you will still want a turbo and will have to change most if not all your set up!!!

Ok my 2 cents. Budget/ Goal. Automotive hot rodding isn't cheap. It cost a lot to go fast. Forced induction in anyway shape or form isn't cheap. Just stick to Small things and build from the rear forward. Its easier and smarter to have a built drive line than a built/ boosted motor. When you get use to the truck with new gears and built trans then add power. I strongly recommend you plan plan plan plan. If not you waste money. Good luck.

If considering a budget, toss out the turbo idea. I didn't take that into consideration.

I would do these

Tune (with someone who will tweak things as you go)
Stall
Long Tubes
Gears

Truck will be a completely different animal then. Could be around $1,000 if you spend wisely and can turn some wrenches.
