normal
mine will shift to 2nd in about 2 truck lengths ...which is ok for normal driving
but performance is set to where 1st is held out longer

works pretty good if youre trying to get someone to bite
while making a turn
it doesnt have to shift back from 2nd which seems cause it to spin easier
and be hard on the tranny

Older post, I know...

Yeah, the tow-haul can be used to program an entirely different fee/reaction from the tranny...

The following parameters can be dual-mode:

- Part throttle shift points
- WOT shift speed (rarely used)
- WOT shift RPM (more commonly used)
- Desired shift time vs torque (time in .seconds it should take to shift)
- Base shift pressure vs torque
- Torque converter clutch apply/release vs throttle
- Torque reduction vs torque (your meat and potatoes torque-management)

Base shift pressure vs torque

on this it goes from 0 to 640
if your only making 300 tq wouldnt that mean all this table isnt used
and adjust accordingly?

ex if you show 300 tq @45 and 640tq @ 90
and you only put out 300 at wot
shouldnt you be at 90?
seems like 45 would be 1/2 of your line pressure

or am I getting ready to break something thinking this way?

That's what I did.

Hell, if I set my tow/haul button up for dual mode, normal driving/haulass mode, I'd be in haulass mode about 90% of the time anyways.

Same here...

My normal mode has the nice long drawn out part throttle shifts, quick/light-throttle downshifts, and the TCC locks moved way up.

My Tow/Haul is now my economy setting... which basically just has the TCC lockup a big sooner, but still later than stock. I hardly every use it.
