Default tune questions

Hey guys, I'm having trouble getting answers in other sections, and it looks like this section gets more action so I'll ask here. I've got a 01 2500HD 6L auto 4x4 on 32s, but I switch back tot he stock 265s for winter, so I have a diablo predator to change my tire sizes, question- can i get a custom tune to get rid of torque managment and add some power and retain the diablo for just tire sizes? if not how can I recalibrate the speedo? is their any other way or should I just leave it? and where should I go for a mail order tune? for mods I've got flowmaster 40 series duals with gutted cats and tb spacer. what kind of difference will this tune make? and how much money am I looking at? I appreciate the answers

mail order tunes will do torque management, speedo, tire size and all the other stuff to get you some extra power. i dont know if you could use both but the mail order tune is the way to go man, and there are several sponsors on here that do it. just take your pick from the side ---> i think youll be lookin at around $350 to $500 depending on who you go with......good luck

If you really want to keep the predator you can get custom tunes that you can upload with the predator. Just check the predator website for dealers that do custom tuning. I would e-mail and/or call as many of them as you can because they set there own prices and they will probably vary greatly. I had a custom predator tune done to have the pcm run my e-fans before I got HP tuners so I know the custom tuning dealers have a lot more options they can tune for and then give you a file you can use to upload and/or make further changes.

A tune can make a nice difference, but I wouldn't expect a huge gain over the standard predator tunes, based on your current mods. Also, unless you just like the whistle then I think it has been pretty well proven that TB spacers are useless on these engines.

Yeah, the tb spacer was a big waste of money, so was the diablo...lol, but thanks! whats a well known vendor who'll do a diablo tune? I don't want someone who's going to dick around, I want to get it done. Someone with good customer service. Feel free to send vendors this page if they want to make a sale.

edit- I just spent a half hour on that pos diablo site and got nowhere....
