Default TSP 1-7/8 Header Questions

So I have a set of TSP headers off my 4th gen Camaro sitting here. I did some research and apparently they don't fit the 4x4 trucks/tahoes. I was curious what exactly they hit or interfere with to not fit? Does anyone know? Is it the front driveline, front diff, front CV's? Just curious since I will probably be converting mine to 2wd and would like to use these headers on the Tahoe if possible.

So looking at that link you posted, other than the HD has a 4l80e compared to my 4l60e, are there any other differences between an HD and my Tahoe?

When I was looking to buy headers for my Tahoe, I talked to Texas Speed about those headers. They told me lots of people had issues with the 4X4's. I assumed it was clearance with the front drivetrain, but I'm not really sure. I've seen posts here where folks had to use a hammer to dent the headers to make them fit. I decided not to mess with it, so I got the Pacesetter headers instead (which were a perfect fit).

Ok I might give TSP a call on Monday. If its drivetrain clearance I can delete all that 4wd stuff when I do the 2wd conversion. If the Tahoe has a different frame or something I'll have to consider different options.

I guess one of my questions is, are 2000-2006 4wd Tahoes use the same forward drivetrain as a 1999+ 4wd 1/2 ton Silverado? Same torsion bar setup, front diff etc..?

Would be nice to hear from someone who's tried this first hand though. Some sales people are difficult to get a straight answer from.

I'm looking for stainless steel headers for my Tahoe. What happened with this?
