i would probably stay away from the x-pipe, i just ran duals out the back no mufflers...now im running dual with 2 40 series flows

are you going to keep your converters on or take them off. I felt a nice gain around the 3000rpm range all the way up. You really don't need an x pipe if you keep the converters in and will probably not notice a gain with converters and going true duals since the converters are slowing the air down so much. Now if you take them off you will most definetly need an x pipe so the truck wont pop and to smooth everything out plus it will give it a much more aggressive sound and a little more bass. I ove the way my exhaust sounds but it would be to loud for alot of people.

I would be leaving the convertors on. I would have a shop do the pipe work. Im partial to my Flowmaster 40 series that I have on there now. So I would prob put 2 40's on there .

well then you really don't need an x pipe becasue our converters are almost like having another muffler in their. If I was you I would put some small magnaflow mufflers since the 40's really don't flow that well. waht kind of sound are you loooking for?

I have duals with magnaflow mufflers and x. I did them and headers at the same time so I really can't make a true comparison for the duals to my old single exhaust. However, I picked up across the rpm band but it really opened up on topend.

you can keep your converters and 02 sensors with headers (mids or longs), right?

Well i went from no muffler to the single/dual flowmaster. It sounds better to me now, it really didnt have any distinct sound with no muffler. I like the sound that the flow master has. I've look everywhere for sound clips but most are muffled or fuzzy sounding. Ive got dual side exit on my truck now .
