The most noticeable shift is when the TCC turns on, and the rpm will drop 1000-1500rpm. If I am off the gas or slowly taking off, running below stall speed and I stab the gas just a tad, and the transmission almost feels like it go's into netural, and the rpm's will flash up to as high as 3200rpm then it kicks back in with a jerk.
is there anyone else with a different kind of stall that has the problem with it feeling like it gots into neutral?

it doesnt seem like it is a bad buy at all! for now it would work for what i want. $750 for the tt3000 or $174 for the trailblazer. with the money i save i can have a head start on my cam..

Black02z71- if you could do it over again would you still have bought the TC? that neutral problwm how often does it do it? does it only do it when you just tap the gas real quick and then let off?

What it does is when I am off the gas or barely on the gas at low speed, and I punch the gas it will flash up and kick in hard, the more gas I give it the higher it will flash, it usually only flashes to 2600-3000. 3200rpm is the highest it’s ever gone, and I was on the gas pretty good. On a 5.3L it won't act the same as this, my 6.0L is making a ton of torque by 2500rpm.

If I could do it over, I would have definitely install one of these again. At first I thought it was to loose, but I'm use to it now. Traction and tire wear are becoming issues, in the rain I have to use autotrac to take off, this winter is going to be interesting, I may have to leave it in autotrac all winter.

well looks liek i will most likely be getting one!!

that sucks about traction. good thing you do have 4wd!! when i had bfg all terrains ( all-butrains) on my truck it really sucked in the rain. thats where the nickname came from. but they went anywhere in the snow for me.

so if i had a 6.0 and i was taking off at a light normally and all of a sudden i decided to punch it it would flash up to 2600-3000 and slam into gear. sorta like a neutral drop.

ok im done with all the questions about it im just going to go out and buy one for myself!!

We got a bulliten from GM saying how customers were wanting NEW Trannys in their vehicles instead of reman's. Found they only way to get a new tranny is to get one for that current model year. The only way for a customer to get a new tranny now is to have an '05. An '04 might be iffy. Might want to try that at the dealership when ordering a convertor.

What's going to be funny, is there are going to be v-8 torque convertors being turned in for reman. for use on those I-6 engines by other people down the line! They order a reman. convertor for their Trailblazer and they get a 5.3 convertor instead. That thing won't get out of it's own way behind that smaller engine. Ha Ha

one of the numbers is 24228709. 24228708 is another common tb converter number.
