a little off topic but whats the point of break stalling. when i went to the track i tried holding the break and gass and then bust letting off the break. i got my worst time. my best was when i spun my tires off the line the most. r/t sucked but i was faster over all..

im thinking about ordering the tc by next week. so with a 5.3 it stalls around 2600rpm's how many rpm's does it drop in between shifts.

This converters is way looser than stock, the engine revs to 2000-2500 rpm taking off normaly, going through the gears the rpm stays the same, it will drop a 100 rpm or so at the shifts. The most noticeable shift is when the TCC turns on, and the rpm will drop 1000-1500rpm. If I am off the gas or slowly taking off, running below stall speed and I stab the gas just a tad, and the transmission almost feels like it go's into netural, and the rpm's will flash up to as high as 3200rpm then it kicks back in with a jerk.

I made a couple videos back in june trying to show how this converter drives.

4 HI Stall up

Taking of with very light throttle

20km-100km normal driving

More like $240 for the TB stall plus another $100 core charge, unless you're connected and somehow don't have to return a core.

Do you think what your describing is a tuning issue and not the functionality of the TC.

This is where it gets interesting....there have been a number of part numbers over time, they have changed, some have been superceded, others have gone away, used to be you could get new ones, now all that is available are rebuilt units...it is very interesting. Hopefully zippy will chime in soon with what he knows.

gmpartsdirect.com lists the convertor for $175 plus $100 for the core charge that you will get back when you take your stock TC back to them.

A couple trailblazer convertor threads back the part numbers were listed.
