What is the stall range for the Trailblazer converter & does anyone recommend one? I read about it but want to know a little more about it. Thanks

Id buy one. It should stall to 2600 or so behind a 5.3.

What will it stall to just using the brakes? My stock verter will pull up to about 2000 before it breaks the tires loose.

I keep seeing this converter pop-up on this site. I tried a Yahoo search and ,of course, come up with Chevy Trailblazer. Who manufactures this converter and can someone provide a link. Sorry for the Highjack.

I rode in Geoff's truck from Thunder Racing, it has a TB converter and the "Old Man" cam. He said it foot brakes to 21-2200. All the other claims I hear about 26-2800 just doesn't jive to me.

Whoever Chevrolet pays to make them, it is the converter that comes in a Trailblazer. You can get it from a dealership or gmpartsdirect.

I think guys with FI (blower/turbo/nitrous) 6.0's have reported them brake torquing that high, but I would expect somewhere around 2000 for a stock 5.3L, to 2200-2300 for a FI 5.3L.
