Default TR220 installed in a 5.3L

Well, last night we installed my TR220 114 in my buddy's '03 SCSB Z71 Silverado. I was suprised how nice that thing idles with a stock tune. LS1 Edit is having problems with the 03 trucks, so it'll stay stock for a while. Nice little lope at idle. No stalling whatsoever and the low rpm torque is as good as stock. Too bad its still shifting at 5600, which I'm sure is about the hp peak. Once we get Edit installed, hes going to get some dyno and track times. I'm sure it will do better than his previous setup, which was a 216/216 in his '02.

Hey MyLS1, wondering if you saw the warning by the drivers side headlight on the radiator support saying not to use a 2 wheel dyno because of the transfer case?

Can you simply unbolt the front drive shaft then?

We'll just keep the truck in 2 wheel drive and have no probs. Its just a caution so some dummy doesnt pull onto the dyno in Auto 4.

I had several dyno runs with my 99 Z71 with no problems at all.

I rode in this truck witht he TR220, the idle is unbelieveable it's so good still. I'll say again that the 5600 rpm shifts are way low.

Here I am again, digging up old posts.
