guys with this cam, what type of valvetrain setup do yall have. like pushrods, springs, retainers, seats, locks, etc... also, did yall change the timing chain when yall did the swap? my truck has 26k miles. thanks...

I would do 918 springs, hardened pushrods, and maybe titanium retainers if you are going to spin it past 6500. I wouldnt swap timing chains with that little milage unless you are going to a double roller.

I'M using the cam in my sig, i've got 918's springs and hardend pushrods. I will probably just use my stock timing chain, i do have 80k miles but i don't think the timing chains fail in these motors much and i won't be adding a blower or ne thing for big power on the 5.3, just the cam for now and nitrous, and then when that blows up i've got the 383 to put in.

yeah i had a good idea that you guys were running the 918's but i wasn't so sure.
