Hey guys I am getting ready to intall a TR220 112LSA in my 5.3, I know this is not really a nitrous cam, but is anyone spraying with this cam and how does it respond? I don't know if I am going to get a nitrous kit, but I was just thinking.

 

Can't help you on the tr220, but there have been a number of guys spraying with the tr224 with great results. Vicred is spraying with his, and I believe Dirt Track Racer was spraying back when he had his tr224 in his 5.3

 

when I had the 5.3 I had a comp cam 220/220, nitrous worked great with this cam...

 

tr224 loves a 150 shot of juice..

 

it will be ok but just to let you know you would be better off with a 114 lbs

 

a 114 will idle a little better and come alive on the bottle...

 

i was wondering the same thing!! casue as soon as the snow in minnesota melts and i built the tranny again im going to do a 100 shot... but the only think im debating is wether to get a wet or dry shot! im going for stelth mode! dont want to be able to see it has nitrous when you open the hood!!
