A shift kit should not effect the tow/haul button.......as far as i know. I dont have a **** kit (yet) but my buddy does, and when his tow/haul is on it shifts even harder. Sounds like something is disconected. Check the plug under the steering colum and see if its conected.

Shop carefully and you won't end up with one, either!

Here's a good question to the tow haul mode note: Are the tow haul shift points changeable when you have the PCM tuned? I'm asking because I just picked up a 5.3 with the computer for a swap into an 87 S10 blazer project and I'd like to use the tow haul mode for haul *** mode. So I could have the shift points set to what would be best at a 1/4 mile. Any thoughts?

you can adjust the tow haul shift points and converter lock up points anyplace you want. it is a nice feature.

i have my tow haul set up for the dyno. push the button and my truck will shift into 2nd at 10mph and lock up at something like 12mph, then it will hold that no matter what i do. works great if i could just remember to push that button , down shift on the dyno is always a little scary.

That hella funny Jim . I dont think any of us wanna see the blue beast jump off the dyno. Altho i saw a video of a AWD Nissian Skyline hit 1367whp and jump off the dyno. That was ****** scary.
