allow more air=more hp
thicker deck for forced induction
sure do look nice
Cons:
hurt the wallet
Depends on your budget & aspirations as far as what to look for. Daily driven naturally aspirated set up, just buy some ported GM castings(nice & cheap). If you want something more serious for racing applications, usually aftermarket heads are a good buy(thicker deck, greater flow potential, etc).

I know everyone loves to look at max numbers but I dont think that is everything velocity has alot to do with it and thats why I think the afr 205's outperform many other heads especially in the tq arena, especially NA.
Also we are comparing the afr's to heads that are larger ie.. edelbrock 212 and the patriots are well over 205 if I remember right
BTW: Ive noticed alot of guys have had to fabricate and do some grinding on the dart heads to get even stock rockers to fit, they seem to be rough around the edges.
If your FI why not go with the afr 225?

Also, with more head flow you need less camshaft to make the 'desired' power. If your goal was 300rwhp in a 4.8L and you have ported heads, you need less cam to reach this goal.
We need a 'high' average torque however. But, the rule still stands.
Too much head & cam shifts the power out of your usable RPM range. So, 'average' torque is directly associated with what is exactly usable in your scenario.
6.0L + 240/240 cam = 400tq
6.0L + STG 2 head + 230/230 cam = 400tq

Going by the data you posted, they look A-Okay to me. The AFR-205s are a proven head so they'll always receive respect.

If your not gonna change the truck intake, you are wasting huge heads and big cams, on smaller cubes.
