Default Time to order Heads!

I need to order a set of heads but cant decide which brand to go with. I want to try the new edelbrock heads but cant really afford the price tag for them What size valve's should I go with on my 3.905 bore. Should I get 2.02/1.57, 2.055/1.57 or 2.08/1.60. Help me out guys

I would go with the 2.055/1.57 valves. You could just spend the money on your heads and have them reworked. They flow pretty good stock and I have seen some vehicles with 408's running them with T-Rex cams with mild port work, and good valves etc. One in particular is a WS6 that runs around Little Rock that has a 408 w/ LS1 heads w/ mild workand the T-Rex cam, and he says he shifts at 7200 rpm's!

Yes the T-Rex cam is crazy. Im hoping to still make usuable power up to 6900 with my cam. Im with Rhino, Yellow thats teh most cost effective way IMO.

The only thing Im worried about is the thickness of GM's head deck. The GM's castings are only about .400" thick while the aftermarket heads are .750"-.800" thick. That would help from blowing so many head gaskets not to mention just a better casting over all...flow, wall thickness and reinforcement.

The new Dart LS1 heads are in the new Summit racing catalog.Nice price on them 1279.99.You can get them with 205cc or 225cc runners. The only chamber size they show in the catalog is 62cc.I wonder if they flow as good as some of the other heads.
