yeah definitely sounds like a fan issue........considering the only time you got good readings is when you were on the highway. Even in day to day city traffic you should still see lower temps than 210, unless youre at a stop light for 10 minutes.

But if you're running at the track and peakin at 179, sounds like its working fine now....

Ok now for the monkey wrench. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> I have the Hypertech 180 deg t-stat in my truck and the needle never went past the 25% mark with the stock fan and still doesn't climb above that with the e-fans. It fluctuates a little but not enough to move it past the white mark.

The t-stat on the 99+ trucks come complete in a sealed housing. It is not a drop in like the old SBC's. $50 is about the going rate +/- a few bucks depending on where you get it.
