Default 6.0

i finally decided to go with a 6.0, i'll probably keep stock crank for a while so what do i need to do to make this thing hold a 200 shot of the giggle gas? what kind of hp should i be expecting from a 6.0 stock stroke, 220/220 .553/.553 112 cam, s2 heads, and truck intake run N/A?

thanks for the answers

Matt

LOTS!! should be sweet, don't forget rod bolts(or new rods if you have the $$) and forged pistons.

hp... hmmmmmm, the heads and cam 5.7's are really geting up there in hp these days, lots in the 450hp range it seems like. so i am going to say 450hp + 200hp = 600-650rwhp. thats with great exhaust(headers and cutouts), all them free mods and bolt on's and a hole bunch of fuel.

Matt the cam is only one of many things to do. Everything needs to work with each other. Some good compression, good flowing heads, and cam should be just fine for you if you want be able to drive this thing everyday. If you go to radical you wont want to spend the money to feed it the right fuel

IMO, everything in the rotating assembly of our engines except the crank sucks. 200 shot won't last long. I would not spend the money your talking (s2 heads, cam, etc...) without upgrading the rods, bolts, piston, etc... About the 5th time you send 200 shot to those pistons and rods, you could it. It would be a shame to risk damaging all those expensive parts just to run 200 shot. Remember, these pistons are cast and don't like high cylinder pressure.

i already plan to put in forged pistons and arp rod bolts, just wondering if the cam i already have will be good in the 6.0, i know the fbody guys like it in the 5.7 so i'm sure it will be fine. i figured on maybe getting a lunati 4" crank as well, if i don't take classes this summer. and i already have a set of s2 5.3 heads.
