I just installed a 180* thermostat in mine about 2 months ago and it didn't really make a difference in temps at all. Now I'm thinking about buying a 160* to put in mine. Anybody want to buy a used 180* thermostat?

How Come The Hypertech T-stat Comes With The Housing? I Would Like To Think That You Could Get A Regular One From The Auto Parts Store.

As far as i knew it is a 1 piece deal. I don't remember mine being able to come apart.

Autozone said that they couldnt get a stock thermo and it only comes in the one piece w\ the water neck

my temps run at the middle mark whatever that is and it doesnt stay in cold start mode from what i can tell

I recall a procedure to take the stock setup apart, but can't remember where I saw it. I know there are members out here who have done it. (may require a pop rivet or something like that)
