Having issues with the TBSS TB I have. Hoping a car TB will work better and hoping to find one I don't have to go broke to buy.

The truck throttle body is a different design than the car throttle body. The truck one is actually 87mm and the car is 90mm. Not a big difference, but my problem is that apparently the truck style doesn't always play well with the X-harness possibly due to the way it's built. I'm getting a P1516 code at WOT that I believe is due to the TB I have and I'm hoping the car style will fix that.

No problem. The same TB was in a few different cars including the GTO, G8 and the corvette. The LS7, LS2, L76, LS3, and L98 all use the same car style throttle body.

Other than a small adjustment to help idle learn quicker there really isn't any tuning that needs to be done for operation of the larger TB. The x-link takes care of it.

I have made some additional VE and idle airflow adjustments, but they are minor and are not tied to the P1516 code problem.

I think I'll double check that the TB I have isn't binding up in anyway. Maybe even take it apart and check it out before spending money on the car style.
