8.1L injectors were not 60lb.

The Truck 8.1L injectors were 30 lbs and the marine application 8.1L ones were 42lbs.

12574927 = 30lbs
17113739 = 41lbs

I am running the newer fuel rails on my truck, it's actually easy to do. I am using the Vette FF and a short Vette fuel line that connects the fuel tanks. (Keeps the factory lines from being wedged against the firewall)

Oh ok. I had read somewhere that u could get 60lb 8.1l injectors. Must have been bad info. I have stock injectors now and they are maxed out. Just don't wanna get injectors that I'll have to replace again down the road since I'm going forced induction. Figured some 60lb ones would be good. Or is that complete overkill?

So do people run stock nbs fuel rails with the tbss swap cuz they don't wanna buy tbss rails? I know the cross over line needs to be lengthened but if u can just buy a set of nnbs or tbss rails then why don't people just do that? I'm a lil hazy on the part and from what I've gathered so far I believe that and which exact injectors I wanna run is the only thing holding me back from completing this swap.

I've never run a 5.3. But I've seen threads where people didn't like the 90mm truck intake on a lm7 with stock heads.

I read your other thread. I'd get a good converter and run it before doing anything else.

If you end up wanting more, I'd say consider lower gears or maybe a 6.0 swap.

Well I'll be doing everything at once. It'd be easier to do a lip bit at a time but I'd rather pay 1 tuning fee instead of several. And the intake will go on 243 heads that's a part of the project. But ya the general consensus is a 3200 stall for the 224/228 cam I want.

O ok. Didn't see anything about 243s. Just in case you don't know. Need to mill a pretty good amount off. Stock 243 chambers will drop your compression.

Not sure why people don't run the GMT900/TBSS rails, it was simple and cheap. I bought my complete 2011 intake manifold, minus TB for $125. My TB was more expensive than the whole intake swap.
